Right now Gil Glaze is just trying to make the most out of the current situation. “I’m spending a lot of time in the studio working on music that I’m really excited to be releasing over the next year,” Gil tells CelebMix. “A lot of people find it hard to get motivated in these times but I’m trying to see it as an opportunity to work on as much music as I can.”
Gil Glaze’s new song ‘Wanted’ is about someone who’s feelings are not reciprocated. It’s hopeful and naive. “I think it shows what relationships are actually like behind closed doors and what makes it a really intimate track,” Gil says.
Writing songs collaboratively these days can be tricky when you can’t actually sit down in a room with someone and bounce off their ideas. With this release, Koolkid and Gil knew they wanted to come out with something youthful and energetic and he thinks they achieved that, coming up with something that they are both really proud of.
“It’s definitely a really personal track and I think that comes across when you listen to it,” Gil tells CelebMix on the personal reflection of the song.
Anytime you write a song like that I think it has to be influenced by real experiences, if not your audience would see right through it.

With this new song, Gil wanted it to be a song that people listen to for any occasion. Whether they are going through a breakup or they’ve never been better, theres something relatable in this track for everyone. Everyone has had that one person that they want to be ‘Wanted’ by.
“I can’t give away anything too specific, but I will say that I have some very exciting remixes and originals coming out in the next few months and people should keep an eye out for that,” Gil (not so much) reveals on what he has coming up next.
Although, the main thing right now is to get back to doing shows in a time when it is safe to do so. The best part of what Gil does is getting to play live for an audience and he really hopes that can be done at some point again this year. “Until then, I’ll be working on lots of music and new, exciting collaboration,” Gil concludes in our chat.
