Liam Payne was super excited to let fans know something really special is coming on One Direction’s 10 year anniversary! That being said, he didn’t hesitate to tease Directioners about the reunion project they are preparing.
However, it turns out that another member, Louis Tomlinson, thought he spilled a little too much and was not too happy about that.
Louis let him know and apparently even ‘told him off’ because of this!
During an Instagram Live session with DJ Alesso, Liam admitted that ‘Louis told me off for revealing our plans the other day. So you are going to have the group telling me off on the chat. I can’t say too much.’
He then once again stressed that he has been in contact with the other guys lately, and that includes Niall Horan.
‘I did speak to Niall again on Face Time today though and he was outside on his balcony sunbathing or whatever…He is in London as well. Most of us are in London. We have been trying to arrange the first group Face Time at the moment, [you] come in and fill in for Zayn [Malik] and join the band!’
‘Oh, wow, the whole world is about to explode,’ the DJ and record producer reacted to that proposal.
Of course, it was a joke but it also sounds like he just confirmed Zayn will not be part of the band’s reunion project.
As you know, he was the one to leave the boyband and start a solo career long before the others went on an indefinite ‘hiatus’ as well.

No one was happy when he just bailed and things just kept getting worse as Zayn started to throw shade during interviews.
For instance, he once said that the music One Direction had been releasing was ‘generic AF.’
